NO walk-in appointments
Assistance may be given to families in need under the following situations:
Must live within our boundaries.
If there are children in the home: You must go to Social Services and get a letter stating how they are or are not able to help.
Come to the Family Assistance Office during FA hours and fill out an application.
You must have a current photo ID. If the address is different than the address you are staying at you must bring a bill or a lease with your name and the current address as well as the photo ID.
An appointment will be given to you for a different day.
REMEMBER:
We are not a replacement for Social Services.
We are not an emergency service. SS has an emergency department
We cannot help you find a place to live.
We do not pay deposits for housing, electric, water, etc.
We do not help service personnel....Naval Relief will help you!

We helped 1,205 families in 2010 ....this was 3,362 individuals. We gave out 658 boxes of food in addition to Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. |
