WHO ARE WE?
A volunteer organization whose purpose is to reach beyond the usual church ministry to serve our community ecumenically in meeting the various critical needs of people who live within the boundaries of our member churches. Representatives from member churches staff and support our organization. In December volunteers worked a total o 5389 service hours.

WHERE DO WE HELP?
The boundaries of WOEOM include the following communities: Bear Creek, Bogue, Broad Creek, Gales Creek, Cedar Point, Emerald Isle, Hubert (parts), Ocean, Peletier, Oueens Creek, Stella and Swansboro.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We furnish and staff a MEALS ON WHEELS program which is not government sponsored. We staff and manage the HEM OF HIS GARMENT thrift store which along with special contributors generates funds to support the ministry. We provide confidential FAMILY ASSISTANCE and counsel with families who are having difficulty in meeting their daily obligations and who cannot obtain help from local, state or federal agencies. We provide a FOOD PANTRY to receive and distribute food to those in immediate need, with special emphasis on our holiday benevolence programs and operate NC FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTIONS. We provide SCHOOL and CHURCH GRANTS designed to assist needy children in public schools and to provide Christian education to young people in our member churches.
HOW ARE WE ORGANIZED?
Blessed by rapid growth and expansion of services, White Oak Ecumenical Outreach Ministries operates with direction from a Board of Directors which consists of officers and one delegate from each of the participating Member Churches.
The duties of the officers are to manage the day to day operation and activities of White Oak Ecumenical Outreach Ministries and the Hem of His Garment thrift store and to report to the Board of Directors.
The officers of White Oak Ecumenical Outreach Ministries are: The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary. The Managers are: Family Assistance, Hem of His Garment, Meals on Wheels, Jim Morgan Food Pantry and Physical Facility.
Standing Committees: Bylaws, Finance, Futures, Nominating, School Grants, Cassie Bernall Scholarships provide essential support for the organization.
