COUNSELOR WOEOM position:

  1. Counselor, this new appointed position by the chairman, is an additional service to the volunteers of WOEOM.
  2. This service is provided to assist our volunteers with inter-personal inter-departmental and other issues that impede the effectiveness of our ministries.
  3. This office is not and will not be used as a tool to create division, animosity or personal vendettas.
  4. Personal counseling will remain confidential and any issues that are addressed and concern the general welfare of effectiveness of WOEOM will be discussed with the appropriate personnel.  No names of individuals involved will be given, unless that individual expressly grants such permission.
  5. Chuck Sheldon is the appointed counselor for WOEOM and will be glad to listen to your issues and concerns, either public or personal.

On a personal note, satisfaction comes from helping others in need, even if they do not show appreciation at the time.  After all, I am doing what we do for Christ, not for them or me.  They are the benefactors of our efforts for Christ, so I am happy.

Chuck Sheldon

CHAPLIN'S CORNER

Pastor Ed Yancy is our Chaplin.  Pastor Yancy has been our spiritual leader, conducting daily prayer and counseling in that field, we appreciate his warmth, knowledge and humbleness.

As we journey together to do the lord's work, we are ever thankful that Pastor Yancy was led by God to the HEM.

AN AMAZING FACT      DID YOU KNOW:

His father (Amon-2Kings 21:24) and grandfather (Manasseh-2Kings 21:18) were two of history's vilest people.  They led lives of murder, deception and thievery.  When his father was killed, everyone naturally assumed his son would follow in the evil footsteps of this ancestors.  But something happened - the little boy turned his back on his sinister family history and became one of the real "child heroes" or the Bible.

At age eight, (2 King 22:1) King Josiah became one of the Godliest kings of Judah.  Over the course of his life, he rebuilt the temple in Jerusalem, led his people in revival and bought glory to God with his dedicated life and rule.  The Bible says he did "what was right in the Lord's sight."  Now that is one AMAZING KID!
